The spacious and inviting kitchen now provides visual and physical access to the west side of theowner’s property and a newly configured entry from the garage. The existing exterior brick betweenthe kitchen and sunroom remained to provide delineation to the space.
An underutilized formal entry and forgotten dining area were configured to provide a large pantry and laundry, repurposing the original custom cherry cabinets, maximizing functionality and daylighting.
Custom cherry and reclaimed slate provide a delightful juxtaposition of cabinet and countertop/backsplash combination. Salvaged redwood, new maple, and birch trim details are accented with the owner’s private tile collection and natural limestone.
